In preparing some recovery information I came across a presentation I prepared a good few years ago for orienteers.
I’m not sure I ever presented it though. It is a less sciency, more practical approach. Hope it helps.
BTW Ignore the reference to lactic acid, its bad, it shouldnt be there (in the presentation I mean)

Outstanding presentation on recovery.
Really enjoyed the integrated, multidisciplinary approach to it – too many times we are all fixated on the physical / physiological aspects of recovery in isolation and don’t really include mental, emotional recovery. Mind and body in action in training means mind and body both involved in recovery.
Good work Ben.

Good afternoon mr. Ben Rattray!
My name is Gall Zsuzsa Szilarda.
I’m teaching at the Physical Eduction Faculty in Brasov, Romania.
I read your presentation about The recovery route.
I think it’s a great material.
I would like to ask you if it’s possible to send me via email the example of the periodised plan because I’m interested in, but i can’t see the details on it.
Thanks!
Best regards, Zsuzsa

Hi Zsuzsa,
I will see if I can find it. The presentation was made a few years ago.
